This period of modernity can not even think of our movement without all kind of terrible vehicles! But if it is said that this is possible and, then it will be credible? Be it! Because such a strange place is in reality where there is no car and horse! The name of the place is Giethoorn. The beautiful little village of the Netherlands is 100 kilometers away from Amsterdam.

this village have peaceful environment, zigzag canals, small bridges made of wood and cremation of different types of colourful flowers. And there is nothing to say about the houses here. These 200-year-old houses have not changed at all, There's just the same. The shape and size of the houses are look like a farmhouse.

There are strict restriction has been issued regarding the use of any type of vehicle in Giethoorn. Although tourists have come to see this beautiful place, there has been a slight change in this rule due to the crowd gathering. So now there's permission to ride bicycles. But most of the time there is a journey on the waterway. The traditional side of the village has no lanes. Giethoorn has more than 180 bridges.

Boats are the main attractions of the tourists of here from many years ago. Tourists can rent motorbikes, dongas (small boats) that go to electric motors Due to the comfortable double seat, boats operating in these electric motors are more popular with tourists.

This place is so beautiful place as like fairy-tale , but thanks to one for making this place popular. And he is Bert Haanstra. The Dutch filmmaker had shot the famous comedy Movie Funfair in 1958, in Giethoorn. Originally came into the discussion since then, this beautiful place became popular. Gradually the tourists are gathering the crowd to see this village. It is said that in the economy of Giethoorn there is more contribution to the tourism industry.

The raw market of this village, goods and even the delivery of the restaurant is also by the boat transport. For three reasons, the Giethoorn is completely different from any other place on earth. First of all, here everything is small. For example, houses, canals, there is less population, boats are small, and even there are supermarkets is also in small area. • This village is quite prosperous in the boat business. The boat business is very popular here because the transport of the village is dependent on the boat. It takes 3-4 weeks to build a boat.

• Giethoorn has several restaurants. And the pancakes of those restaurants are quite popular.

• In most cases the citizens use the boat named Whisper Boat. Because it is a engineless boat, it maintains a peaceful environment and the environment is not contaminated by the smoke.

• The appearance of summer and winter Giethoorn is very different. In the summer the canals are filled with water. In the winter, the canal water gets frozen. There is no way to know the Giethoornk when it fully cover with the ice. In the winter on this ice the citizens of the mcountry are like to doing skating.

• There are various types of boats for waterways: Kayak, Rowboat, Sailboat, Whisper Boat, Pant, Sloepen (Elite Electric Boat) etc.

• Through the 100-year old newspaper articles, it is known that earlier these canals were used to transport animals from one place to another with the passing of human beings.

• There is a museum titled ’t Olde Maat Uus, which is known about the heritage and culture of Giethoorn. This museum was built in 1988.
