After ignoring nearby infected, I climbed to high ground and spotted a man held captive by bandits. Using my crossbow from a high ground, I eliminated the captors one by one with targeted shots. Once the area was clear, I untied the survivor, successfully rescued him and earned his trust.
With the immediate area looking clear enough, I decided to step inside to see if there was anything worth exploring or looting.
Although I noticed several infected wandering around the location, I chose to ignore them for the time being, focusing instead on scaling the structure to secure higher ground.
From my high vantage point, I spotted a man trapped inside, held hostage by a group of mercenaries. Wanting to rescue him without initiating a chaotic direct confrontation, I drew my crossbow to pick off the captors from above.
Positioning myself where they couldn't easily reach me, I lined up my first shot and dropped one of the guards with a clean headshot.
I reloaded and fired another bolt straight into the second guard's shoulder, taking him out of the fight.
The last remaining bandit attempted to make his way up toward my position to attack, but I refused to let him close the distance, bringing him down with another well-placed bolt.
With the guards neutralized, I moved over to the captive and untied his ropes before any nearby infected could wander in, securing his safety and earning his trust.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
