As night ended, I left the safe zone to navigate roof passages toward an upper window. I crawled into a ventilation shaft and fought past swarms of infected. Afterward, Kyle instructed Largo to route power, that lead me into a building section where I searched for a backup generator.
The oppressive darkness slowly faded out, and I knew it was time to leave the safe zone behind. The dangerous volatiles were no longer roaming nearby, confirming that I had successfully survived an entire night.
I carefully scanned my surroundings and eventually spotted a route that could lead me toward a distant open window. The path required precision, but I managed to climb onto the roof of the building.
Once I got closer, I realized the opening was actually a terrace window rather than a standard one. After making my way across the roof structures, I finally reached the terrace access point.
To continue moving forward, I had to open a ventilation hatch that led straight into the inner structure. I forced the hatch open and crawled into the narrow vent shaft.
Once I dropped through, I quickly realized that going back was no longer an option.
The immediate area was crawling with infected. They were gathered in large numbers, creating a very dangerous situation.
I pulled out a grenade and tossed it right into the middle of the horde to clear the path. The explosion killed several of them instantly, but more appeared right after.
The grenade worked effectively, though it made me realize that I would need to find a convoy or buy more supplies soon to replenish my ammunition and firepower. I kept fighting until I managed to clear out the remaining threat for the time being.
Shortly after clearing the corridor, Kyle contacted Largo over the radio to ask why his personal room had power while the rest of the facility remained in total darkness. Largo explained that he was running on a private reserve line, which did not have enough capacity to power the entire complex.
Kyle told him to shut down his personal line immediately to redirect whatever light was available. Largo followed the instruction, though it only provided minimal lighting to the dark corridors ahead.
Moving further into the building, I realized the pathway ahead was completely overrun with infected.
Nearby, I spotted a room labeled for the backup generator. Fortunately, a structural wall kept the infected separated from that section, and I had no intention of opening their side.
I tried to access the gate leading directly to the backup generator room, but the door remained firmly locked. It became clear that the direct entry was blocked, leaving me with no choice but to find another way around, even if it meant heading straight through the area filled with infected.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
