While fending off the infected, I got my beast mode ready again, so I fought some infected in the best possible way again.
After my beast mode ended, I fought off infected while struggling to heal my wounds. Once I cleared the street and collected loot from the fallen monsters, I headed inside the building to secure the entrances and reach the basement to restore power to the safe zone.
My beast mode faded, forcing me to climb onto the roof of a nearby truck for safety. A booster infected pursued me immediately, forcing me to fight off several zombies despite holding the high ground.
Realizing I was losing far too much blood, I scrambled up a streetlight pole to patch myself up with a bandage. The relentless booster followed me up the pole, so I abandoned the position, dropped back down to the street, and managed to apply a bandage.
Once patched up, I decided to take down the remaining infected lingering in the area. I began slaying them one by one, but the heavy fighting caused me to lose a dangerous amount of blood again.
I pulled back to create some distance, healed my injuries once more, and returned to the fray.
Mid-combat, my beast mode activated again just as I filled the gauge. I immediately charged into the surrounding horde to clear out the remaining monsters. Kyle brutally ripped the heads off the infected, tearing through their limbs with ease.
When the beast mode expired a second time, I switched to my melee weapon to finish off the stragglers. Knowing the corpses would vanish quickly, I began looting the bodies for much-needed supplies.
Mid-search, another booster rushed toward me, but I refused to give him a single chance to land a hit. I readied my axe and brought him down instantly.
Though most of the bodies dissolved shortly after, the loot remained behind in small waste bags scattered along the street. I gathered every item, unwilling to leave anything behind after surviving such a brutal encounter.
With the streets cleared, it was time to enter the building and restore the safe zone. Expecting zombies inside, I went straight for them and began clearing the rooms. Using my axe, I chopped through the enemies.
After clearing the immediate area, my objective shifted to securing the entrances before turning the power back on. Spotting a moka coffee pot on a desk reminded me of the one I owned, though I rarely used mine.
I started securing the building by closing the window through which I had originally entered. Finding the upper floor completely blocked off, I made my way down to the ground floor
I was hoping no additional infected lurked in the shadows. From there, I proceeded toward the basement to restore the power grid, only to find the door locked from the other side.
