After attracting dangerous boosters with rifle fire, I switched to melee attacks to conserve ammunition. Facing a massive, resilient monster, I baited its charging attacks, struck its vulnerable back while it was stunned against the concrete, and at last brought the beast down before looting the remaining dead infected.

I decided to open fire on a few nearby zombies using my rifle, but the loud gunshots immediately backfired, luring fast-moving boosters straight toward my position.

Realizing I was burning through my ammunition far too quickly, I stowed the rifle to conserve my remaining bullets and drew a melee weapon to smash through the incoming boosters.

Once the immediate rush subsided, I used up what little firearm ammo I had left on a cluster of wandering zombies below.

There was this infected who was not taking any damage from me so I decided to have a careful look at it through the photo mode and I noticed it has some heavy debris on its body and I guess those were saving the infected.

I decided to use a hand grenade on him forgetting the consequence that more boosters might come to attack me hearing the noise. Well, I used a hand grenade but even a grenade couldn't do anything to that infected.

And there came some boosters like it was meant to be. I had to take them down real quick as I noticed there came several ones at once.

I decided to check a dead body that was part of my investigation and when I was doing it, the toxin spitter from the high ground of the monument was shooting me with its toxins and the other infected was also closing in so I back up to where I was all this time.

Then I decided to go for the toxin spitter so I started climbing up the monument and once I reached him, I kicked him out of the high ground but he didn't die from the fall so I shoot him with a shock arrow and ended him.

I focused on the special monster that had survived every attack I threw at it earlier. Standing on a high ledge kept me safely out of its reach for the moment, allowing me to observe its movement patterns and look for a weakness.

I noticed the beast took real damage only when hit from behind. To land a strike, I had to drop down, bait the monster into charging into the heavy concrete structure, and strike its exposed back while it remained temporarily stunned from the impact.

After repeatedly dodging its strikes and hammering its back during those brief windows, I finally brought the massive beast down. Defeating it was a huge relief, as it had posed a massive threat to my survival while exploring the area.

With the monster dead, the surrounding zone became significantly safer. I finished off a few lingering zombies still shuffling toward me, then began searching the scattered bodies for useful crafting supplies, noticing the gruesome state of the corpses left behind by my earlier explosions.

I'll show what happens next later.

I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
