Founded in 1946, Dior was founded by Christian Dior in Paris and originally backed by financier Marcel Boussac.
Today, Dior designs and retails primarily haute-couture items for women ranging from leather goods, fashion accessories, footwear, jewellery and of course apparel.
The exhibition at V&A museum was originally set to run until mid July, but unprecedented demand has extended the exhibition till September.
