Hello, Hivers and Wednesday walkers! I wish you all a happy Wednesday.
I wanted to make this post last week Wednesday, but it was too late by the time I got home. So I had to postpone it till today.
On this day I had planned to take a walk around the street opposite mine, since they have a lot of beautiful sites that can be pleasing to the eyes.
I was about to leave the house when I got a call from my long-time friend, a classmate in secondary school.
She told me she was in my school at the moment, so I changed my mind about going anywhere other than to meet my friend.
It's been three years since we last saw each other.
We took our time discussing both the past and the present, and I realized how much we have changed with time. Or I should call it growth.
Since my mind was already on a walk. I decided to show her around the school, we later chose the library only, since the sun outside was too hot.
This library is the most beautiful place for me on campus. Not because of the structures but because the air around here is always different, very cool, and calm. I also like its quietness.
I love reading in the library, unlike my friends who prefer reading in a noisy place with earphones.
I took this photo from upstairs. It was a nice view to me, and I didn't want to miss it.
This place has a lot of functions like registering for a library card, borrowing a book, and sometimes a meeting place for non-teaching staff.
A few important and eye-catching books are displayed on the shelves here, which adds to the beauty of the place.
This is the library hall 1. It is the largest hall, and it contains the books one may need in the faculty of science, Agriculture, and Engineering.
This place is usually filled up, but it's almost empty now. The reason being that students are just returning, I guess they are not interested in using the library yet.
This is the library hall 2.
This was my first time entering this hall. I knew it existed though but I have never walked down here.
The place is not as big as Hall 1. It also has very few books.
From the books here, it was obvious to me that this hall is particularly meant for medical and clinical sciences.
I have decided to use this hall more often since it has the books I will need.
It was about 4 p.m. when we left the library. So we decided to walk to the school gate instead of using a tricycle.
A mini stadium for games, mostly football.
Nature is wonderful, beyond human comparison.
This beautiful sunset made my friend ask me what I missed about her.
It was her spirituality and childish manner that was very interesting to me those days, so I told her so. Before we finished this walk I realized that she hadn't changed. She still has those beliefs.
She told me she missed reading my stories, I told her she could continue from where she stopped as I now write and publish short stories. she was very happy for me.
I then told her about hive. She's a business enthusiast who loves physical things.
She however said she may join hive later, but not really as a writer.
We branched this salon to make my hair, and she painted her nails.
A very simple weaving but the woman was too slow. It was very dark by the time we finished.
We later walked to this boutique.
We knew the dresses here would be expensive but we still went in to know their price tags. They were however very affordable but not at the moment.
Grilled meat was everywhere around us so we bought some, and said goodbye to each other, after fixing a date for a real hang out.
If you have read to this point, I am grateful. Thank you for your time.
