I just began playing Splinterlands this past week because of some conversations in the LeoFinance discord, and it's safe to say that I'm pretty hooked. I had a few very solid cards delegated to me to start off, which helps a lot in securing some wins.

I am trying to hold back on investing too much while still being new to the game, mostly picking up some cards here and there that seem really strong. The next pricier one on my list is Spirit Miner.

I expect to stay in Silver 1 again this season, but maybe a little higher in the leaderboards. I am not entirely sure how well I'll hold up as getting back into Silver this season seems a little tougher than last time. Although, I guess that makes sense as everyone is downgraded with the new league start.

All in all, my performance was pretty OK I think. I could have definitely done better, and part of the problem was waiting quite a while to pick up some decent cards. The other part was having almost no idea what I was doing. I think I still have no idea what I'm doing, but hopefully that'll change with some more time!

Byzantine Kitty is definitely my winning choice for a summoner, but I've actually been using Daria Dragonscale, and Brighton Bloom a bit more lately. Using Lorina Shineand Lir Deepswimmer was mostly to complete the daily quest, and my fairly weak non-Dragon cards at the time meant lots of losses.

Manticore has so much power behind it for only four mana. This is probably my favorite card across the board. Halfling Alchemist also provides amazing utility, which I've grown to appreciate. Kralus was one of my pack pulls, and clearly does very well for me whenever I can slot her in.

Previously being a Magic: The Gathering player, the idea of different rulesets was a bit of a surprise, and something to get used to. This provides such a unique gameplay experience along with the changing mana limit in each game. This has been the largest part of the learning curve, definitely.

Rewards were pretty OK, can't complain too much. The idea of receiving rewards that have actual value for playing a card game is nice enough!

Anyway: this game has been fun, now it's time to try and get some friends to play!
