Youtube Vlogs: A New Career!

"The only constant in the technology industry is change." - Marc Benioff

How Vlogs became popular?

Youtube vlogging began to catch on in 2006, at the inception of social media. As society became more dependent on the "Internet-of-Things", they inevitably grew more narcissitc. As a result, people started to video record their everyday life, and eureka, vlogging became the new trend!

The incentive driving YouTube creators is obviously money, so vlogging everyday was seen as a money making opportunity. This led the masses to catch on, and eventually everybody was vlogging.

This had massive repercurssions as YouTube had to decrese the amount of money it would pay to it's users, as YouTube was seen as a Full-Time career by vloggers.

What is a YouTuber?

As vlogging became the new thing, this led to the creation of a new industry of vloggers, also known as 'YouTubers'. Soon enough, with increased narcissism, everyone wanted to become a YouTuber. It was seen as an escape from the 9-5 routine of manual labor (And there was a slight chance of becoming famous!).

As YouTubers were seen to be cool, the company itself - YouTube - embraced this new phenomenom, and made vlogging mainstream. Soon enough, people could be seen walking on the streets holding their phone above their face and talking erratically - hence, vlogging.

Conclusion?

Vlogging is a great way to earn passive income, and has many other benefits which create new opportunities. However, time and talent are needed to be successful on YouTube, as everyone is in the competition!
