A Hyper Narcissist?

Narcissus is widely known for falling in love with his own image, or beauty. This period in Ancient Greece dated back over 2000 years ago, but human nature doesn't change. In fact, human nature accelerated at such a speed that if Narcissus was alive today, it would be hard to notice him, because everyone has become Narcissistic, to such a degree that humanity has surpassed Narcissus.

How did man stumble?

Is the smartphone to blame, or is it social media? Is Feminism to blame, or was it the 2008 Financial Crisis? Can we really pinpoint a period in recent history where mankind became a self-loving robot. If you think i'm being hyperbolic, have you forgotten that the the word selfie exists?

You see, the new H̶u̶m̶a̶n̶  has 3 main characteristics:

  1. A short attention span.
  2. An addiction to the smartphone.
  3. Arrogance as a side effect of ignorance.

In short, the new H̶u̶m̶a̶n̶  is pleasant to look at, but unpleasant to be around. To be blunt, the human being has become a Femme Fatale: a person who smiles with daggers in their mouth.

Conclusion

Well, to paraphrase Plato, sometimes it's best to slow down and examine your life.
