Hi Friends!
Iceland is well know from its amazing landscapes - most of the popular spots are located by the shoreline where the access is easy from the main road, most of them are open whole year round for everyone and they are very scenic.
But the Icelandic interior is something different - just imagine huge, vast land without towns, shops, very few camping grounds, dirt roads, without forests and many times full of dust and dangerous river crossings.
On this land we can find many great places as well but to get there - we need to have a 4x4 car and the conditions must be mild. This area is so huge that we need at least a week to discover those places. It is totally different way of tourism, there is no place for mistakes as we can damage our car, fell from the steep roads or sunk into river - if we will run out of food and water, or a petrol - we are fed ;).
That is the Badlands of Iceland - I was there only 2 days but the impact of these landscapes on my imagination was huge!
