I guess the big idea would be that offending pathogens are prevented from spreading via stray spit flying around? Or maybe in the event someone's spit lands on your exposed orphases rinse it off with the hydochlorous-acid water. They are literally submerged in disinfectant, and pools are required to maintain a certain potency. Just maybe, this is absurd. This overpriced and ridiculous measure would have negligible effects on the spread at best. At least that is my humble prediction. How could it be measured? Get in there with your virus spread detection meter?
If any government is going to violate The Constitution, basic human rights, nuremberg code; shouldn't be allowed anyways, but if they "must" I think it's fair to say the people are owed some scientific evidence.
The chemical situation in swimming pools is interesting. People like to say that there is Chlorine in the pool. Well, they are sort of right. Except it's not chlorine per say. Because elemental chlorine at room temperature is a green gas.

Another cool video, turns out there are household devices available so people can produce there own bleach instead of buying it. And there is a way to turn hypochlorous acid into a cold fog, which they use to disinfect air planes. Hah, who knew?
