And again I missed another day, I didn't write anything on the highway yesterday, but isn't that necessarily true? Better less often, but good. So, I'm going to try to write better today. There was no time to write yesterday, and even a funeral day. They remembered all their relatives who are no longer with us. And we commemorated them in the country, this is our favorite meeting place. Once, the whole family used to gather at the dacha, work, and then at the table, all together ... Oh, what times it was. Now my father has died, my first husband has also died, my daughter has left for Poland ... My mother and I have remained, and my second husband, with whom we have lived together for almost 14 years. Time goes by, and the tradition of getting together is preserved.
But the post is not about family traditions. I saw a lot of mushrooms yesterday, of course I took photos. But today I decided to write my nostalgic memories of a quiet hunt. That's what my dad called mushroom picking: quiet hunting.
It's been a long time, now I probably can't remember which mushroom is edible and which is not. And before I could guess each mushroom by name. There were especially many buttercups in our places, we collected them in buckets. And at home and canned and dried, fried, cooked soups, pies, dumplings.
I was fourteen years old, the whole family and I rode iron horses and rode to the nearest forest. And there already divided who where and collected mushrooms. Dad walked alone, and I tried to walk close to Mom so as not to get lost. Earlier, there were no telephones, and if you confuse the road, how will your parents find you?
I remember very well how my mother and I once found a family of mushrooms, and they were like that.
Then my mother laughed and said that these mushrooms got a boot on the hat. Usually mushrooms are cut with a knife, and someone tried to trample those poisonous mushrooms.
I'm telling you my little memories, and in the photo post, I took them yesterday. On the way to the country, we came across such mushrooms.
And I still remember a case when my mother and I rolled our bicycles (iron horses) through the woods, picked mushrooms, and came across a sunflower field. God, that was it! The field was empty, but there was a lot of dry sunflower on it. There is no one around! Mom started picking sunflowers and then roasting the seeds at home. And here, as if from under the ground, a healthy uncle with a machine gun grew above us! He scolded my mother, took our bicycles and seeds, and fined us. He was the guardian of the sunflower field.
It is good that our father was not far from us. He settled the conflict with the guards, our bicycles were returned to us. Oh, my mother and I were scared then. Of course, we didn't pick mushrooms that day, because it wasn't fun after the sunflower field.
