Once again they are back!

This cute Blue Mint Leaf Beetle is looking for a mint to chew. Actually, it makes me wonder why they regularly appear in our garden even if we don't have any mint plants around. They usually attempt to chew on our plants. Although they look cute with their emerald-looking hue, we don't want them to stay any longer in our garden.

We consider them pests because they often damage the leaves on our plants. The boreholes on the leaves will cause the plants to suffer. With enough numbers of these beetles, they can forage on a single plant in less than a week.

So, whenever I see one; I will take a photo and then catch it to be thrown away. These are the kinds of insects that we want to welcome in our garden.
