Onboarding is hard but retention is even harder here. I have onboarded approximately a dozen of people over the years but just a few of them are still active. Despite the fact that I personally guided each of them, explained what they needed to know etc. I´m sure for those who find Hive on their own and don´t know anyone here, the retention rate would be even much lower. Hive is a very complex ecosystem and it would be really great if we had some easy-to-follow, step-by-step tutorials for newbies that would only explain the very basic things that they should know about how it works here. But yeah, we should also change the way we market Hive. Attracting new members here with the illusion of making easy money through blogging can be very deceptive...
