Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
I want to stick to my tradition of the Golden Hour Sunday here on Hive too so here is my very first contribution to the series posted on our brand new blockchain.
I took this shot from a little viewpoint here in Ponta Delgada, the capital city of the Azores island of Sao Miguel a few weeks ago. We are finally getting more sunny days here and the sunsets often come with some remarkable colorful sceneries like this one :)
Now let me also share a few thoughts on Hive, our new home. First of all, I would really like to pay massive respect, kudos and thanks to everyone who was involved in the hard fork. It all went surprisingly smoothly and as far as I know, the first Hive front ends were up and running within literally just a couple of minutes after the fork. After some of the previous hard forks, the Steem blockchain was down (or heavily buggy at least) for whole days so this one turned out really cool.
What is not so cool, however, is the mess that resulted from the fact that some apps and projects have already moved to Hive while some others not (yet). Some are actually even running on both chains. The chaos can cause serious inconveniences to many users but I think we all know we should be patient and tolerant as hard forks are always big deals and it just takes some time before things get figured out. So let the dust settle guys, I am sure everything will be neat soon.
The last thing I would like to mention here is the current state of our old home. Honestly, looking at the Steemit trending page now makes me feel very sad. I don´t even want to talk about the pinned posts and the other stuff up there (you have probably seen it for yourself anyway) or about the Sun´s team blocking some authors (obviously, they have a lot of experience with censorship in China), I am just horrified by how quickly the place that we loved so much until very recently, turned into something that ugly and desperate.

Actually, what also surprised me is the number of people that are still posting there. That includes even some renowned names that I was pretty sure would move to Hive with us. I don´t really know what to think about it. Eventually, it was quite hard for me too to leave Steem behind and I know it´s up to each of us where we decide to continue our work but I considered the move to be a sort of another demonstration of the unity of our community...
Other than that, nevertheless, my feelings about the transition are mostly positive and I am really excited about all the buzz that I can see on Hive :) Also, from what I have heard and read so far, the crypto public has been watching it closely too and they seem to be very supportive. I think it´s just a matter of time before the Hive Token starts to get some serious attention and exchanges´ listings.
