If you've ever wondered why I like my manual typewriter so much, one of the reasons is that I hate formatting in Word. It makes me cuss. And yell at the computer like it understands me.

Yeah. But I'm putting typed pages into Word now, so eventually I can publish them. I've done it before, but I always have to re-figure it out, plus I'm on a different version of Word than last time. And I think there were a couple of things I just gave up on with the last book; at some point (on my third order of a proof from the publisher, as I recall), I just had to say "good enough," or I was never going to publish. At least I fucking caught the random chapter deletion in the table of contents for no reason this time. That error is still in the print edition in my first book, because when I was checking the proof, I wasn't fine-tooth-combing the table of contents. Sigh. I call it my "hidden track." The chapter is in the book - it's just not in the ToC. LOL. One day I'll go back and edit the file for the ten billionth time and fix that, and the other typo I caught in the final release. One day. When I'm feeling masochistic.

So officially, yogurt is not the culprit in my protein shake allergy. Bah. Oh well. I tried. It's probably the cocoa. I'm going to try cooking it into syrup next. You know how cooking things kills off some nutrients? Maybe it will kill the allergen? I don't know, I'm grasping at I-love-chocolate straws here, people, let me have my dreams.
