Dissembling old tech is one of my favorite hobbies. I always disassemble old broken tech to see what is inside and then I throw them into junkyard. If I find something interesting teach peace then I put it in my tech collection. I don't know why but disassembling old tech is way more interesting than new ones. Today I was disassembling and old school pc and I found this "Intel Pentium w/MMX tm " cpu inside an old motherboard.
I've never seen a cpu with such big transistors. I've heard that you can extract gold from old cpu. But I only have two of these so I don't think I can extract something out of them.
I made some research about that cpu and found that intel introduced it in 1996 and manufactured it in 1997. It's core frequency is 166 mhz and 66 mhz board frequency . I searched for exact this model to for how much is it trading and I couldn't find exact this model but you can find old cpus like this around 20-50 usd price range.
