I just finished a 6.0km running that lasted about 0hh:30mm:0ss !
Saturday means either a hilly course or either an easy run to set up the body for Sunday's long run... this time, my coach was cool enough to tell me to go for an easy run! Lol.
Easy runs are really important though, they help us increase our V2O max (that's the capacity of our bodies to process an deliver oxygen to the muscles) and our aerobic resistance. Today I went focus on running at a very comfortable pace, which I did, but I never expected it to be so close to 5' min/km... I'm getting back to the same paces I used to run and that's such a huuuuge encouragement!
Although, it was pretty warm here in Buenos Aires, almost 30 C degrees and 80% humidity. Not only that, but I went for the easy run almost at midday... which probably wasn't my best idea either. There were plenty of people in the streets, which made me trip and fall at least four or five times...
Tomorrow's a 14km long run and weather seems to be cooler than today, luckily.
Last week, it was really warm in the long run,a lmost 36 C degrees... and believe me, I had a terrible time. I got back home feeling really weak, tired and everything, luckily tomorrow won't be the same! :-)
