I'm battling a bit with getting the best shots out of a cellphone camera and haven't set this one up to it's full potential yet, but here goes.

Two shots of the same mining shaft from two different angles about 20 meters apart in Boksburg South Africa, where I live now. I'm not a city bunny, but must say the place has grown on me.

This now caught my eye on my way out to pick up a few groceries and seeing this mine shaft tower from the shopping centre which made me think of how sadly mining used to be such a large part of my country and is now, due to massive corruption dying a sure death, costing very many thousands of people their jobs.

At the center, all the new shops that came long after the mining era started, but how long will the new last before they to become the old? For how long will people be able to keep supporting the new before there are so few employed that even those employed here will not get enough support to stay employed.

This beautiful country with all it's natural wonders and wide open spaces is at a cliff of decay caused by greed.
