Working is a means to obtaining the neccesities of life. In the bible Thessalonians 3:10 it says
"if any would not work,neither should he eat"
One can not stay idle and expect manna to fall from heaven or people to put food on your table
Proverb 12:11
Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.
"We live to work and we work to live."According to the Oxford dictionary 'Work is a physical or mental effort', Towards accomplishing something.Efforts by which a person makes a living.
It necessarily does not have to be a paying job or occupational,work could be in service to someone, or service to God or humanity in form of voluntary activities bottomline there are various forms of work.
God detest indolence, he created humans to work as said in
Genesis 2:15
"and the Lord took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."
Aside from the financial benefits of work;
- It is good for your wellbeing.
- It helps to build confidence and self esteem
- It exposes you intellectually
- Contributes to your hapiness (especially when you are doing what you love).
- Makes you a better person in the society.
- Keeps you busy because an Idle mind is the devil's workshop.
- Gives you a sense of pride and achievements.
You can be of benefit to your community, these and others are advantages of why working should be a priority.
1 Timothy 5:8
"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
Despite the usefulness of working in terms of its all round benefits in our lives not all jobs are good;
you have to first of all consider the legitimacy and decency of the job!
2ndly is It productive and efficient that is can you get the best out of your work, rather than be caught stagnant in a job were you give your all.
Lastly your job should be yielding good results in benefits and profits.one must labour with wisdom; productivity, profitability and purposefulness are the three things to strive for in your job.
Working purposefully;
There are certain times in one's life when the question of fulfilment with work arises. If there is no purpose to working, it leaves you unsure about your work.
Proverbs 12:24
"Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labour"

What really defines as purpose; it is essentially acting with intention to achieve an outcome.
When you are spiritually driven,it is no longer for your own personal gain or benefit but rather serving in ways that brings benefits to other and glorifying God all the same .
Questions that should be asked to check your purpose of working;
- Do I experience joy and fulfilment in my work.
- Does it develop me and let me grow spiritually.
- Can I support myself financially.
- Does it improve my contributions to the community etc.
Do your best to shun work that is illegal, shady and dishonest, you must hold integrity, honesty, excellence in high esteem as your set principles.
In summary work to contribute meaningfully to your life and others,exalt Jesus and expand his kingdom.
- WORKING PRODUCTIVELY;
This simply means working, hard and getting good results, there is no one who is not concerned about improving productivity at work.

Productivity tends to improve business operations, increase profits etc. These are some steps to take to ensure productivity;
- Efficiency and productivity goes hand in hand,focus on being organized and clean,it encourages a good working space which foster motivation and motivation leads to productivity.
- You have to be focused so as not to end up procrastinating, which works against productivity, so any form of procrastination must be kept under control.
- Anticipate and avoid distractions, your focus has to be sharpened to achieve this, if it is unavoidable minimize it as much as you can.
- Lastly prioritize, from the most important to the least important, this way you will get the job done on time and therefore increases productivity.
Be determined,disciplined,industrious,prayerful and you are sure to excel.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
- WORKING PROFITABLY;
You must turn your working hard into working profitably. To acheive this you must be creative and innovative, turning imaginative ideas into reality and generating solutions.
Proverbs 14:23
"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
To be creative is to be a critical thinker and then producing your thoughts, it is a two way process.
- It does not necessarily have to be a new idea, it could be a revamped version of an old idea; doing things better, faster,cheaper or of better quality.
- Observe the trend and what the consumers want.
- Create a niche for yourself and then proceed to networking.
- But do all these after you have already gotten your ideas in check and you are sure of the profitability of your thoughts.
