Mountain Monserrat, view from the Cave of Saint Ignatius at Manresa, Spain, 2019
"Montserrat" literally means "saw (serrated, like the common handsaw) mountain" in Catalan. On the first day, there was a lot of clouds, so I couldn't see the mountain Montserrat. I woke up early in the morning to get to the cave of Saint Ignatius but it was rainy. Finally the Montserrat mountain appears in my eye sight with clear atmosphere after rain. I was reminded of the domain of Arnheim by Rene Magritte rather than the literal meaning of Mount Montserrat as saw blade.
Isn't the image of the mountain as eagle flying metaphor for human chakra system with a body of spiritual growth? Ignatius wrote the spiritual exercises at this cave.
