One of the top enemies of poultry farming business is mortality. When mortality rate hits a poultry farm, there's high chance that one has a farmer is driving towards running at loss. One won't make much gain and moreso, even at worst the capital invested as cost of production would be tampered with. In order to avoid this, there are different ways to avoid mortality from occuring in your poultry farm.
One of the ways to avoid mortality rate in the farm is by doing proper disinfection of the pen and poultry farm tools before each batch. This can be done by using disinfectant to disinfect things I mentioned above. After one is done with a batch of Broiler chicken birds, it's advisable to always do proper cleaning and disinfection of the pen and farm tools.
Secondly, make sure you trust the hatchery farm you ordered your birds from. Make sure you make proper findings from other farmers to make enquiry about their experience concerning the hatchery farm you bringing your day old birds.
Do try as much as possible to avoid germs into your pen. How? Make sure you have a separate foot wears for the poultry farm. Make sure you don't go into the farm with just anyhow foot wears. That will help to reduce the excess of germs in the Poultry farm.
Don't be lazy to change the pen floor with new litter materials when it's messed up. Failure to do this may invite unknown dangerous ant into the pen which may probably harm the Broiler birds which peradventure leads to mortality.
