POULTRY FARM AND USING LAYERS BIRDS FOR TWO MARKETABLE PURPOSES.
I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Of course, Broiler chicken birds that typically serve only one purpose and that's for only meat production. Normally, Broiler birds that are female ones lay white kind of egg when they reach about sixteen to seventeen weeks of their lives. Their eggs is not what one would easily see in the market because I don't think it's serving any purpose for consumption. So mainly, broiler birds only serve one major purpose and that's for meat consumption which Broiler birds are naturally good converting feed to meat consumption purpose.
LAYERS BIRDS AND ITS PURPOSES.
But then the story is different when when we move to story about layers birds and we have them of various breed; we have ones with brown feathers and some others with black feathers. One of their major characteristics us that they start laying by 19 weeks or more depending on how they are well fed.
Looking at the layer birds, running egg laying farm for business purposes may lean towards being a longer time investment than Broiler chicken business where you can start selling once they reach seven weeks which seems shorter investment than Egg laying business. But despite the fact that egg laying takes longer period to stay harvesting, the wait always worth it. The purposes are.....
When layer birds start laying by 19 weeks or so, they lay for several Months or thereabouts. They serve the purpose of egg production and then....
After they must have exhausted laying eggs, these birds can also be sold for meat production purpose. Though it's not as nourished and costly as broiler birds but some people prefer it for consumption purpose.
