Many people go for the general formula, popping pimples but doing so could also bring scars to your face but one can try using a sterilized pin to help out the pulse only when they are ripe else you would be rubbing salt to injury!!
How do you know when or when not to pop pimples??
Visit a dermatologist
This is the best option, a dermatologist is a doctor that takes care of your skin. In such cases he is in the right position to analyze the severity of the pimples to prescribe either antibiotics, laser treatments, creams etc. Example, for a red swollen pimples an antibiotics is likely to be prescribed.
Never pop new pimples
Often times people(especially girls) in the quest to look beautiful all round get so uncomfortable whenever a pimple pops out on thier face. Relax dear!!, don't rush things.... you might actually be ruining your face trying to get it out that quick. Wait until the whitehead appears at the tip then you know they are ready to be popped!!
Don't pop pimples that are sore, big or red
Every pimples comes with a bacteria and to pop such a huge red or sore one further sends the bacteria into your skin. When you pop a big pimple, you are most likely gonna get a scar!! so why not wait for the whitehead or a dermatologist??
Reduce pimples by washing your face when oily
Pimples most times are caused by the sweats sitting on your face. So for anything you do, whether it's a long walk, an exercise, from the kitchen etc enable to wash(lukewarm water) your face and avoid scrubbing too.
Safety when popping pimples with your hands
Get your hands clean
Just like performing other activities, you need to wash your hands first!! Washing your hands helps it limit the bacteria you take to your face. Wash them thoroughly with lukewarm water and soap. If you are the type that keep nails, endeavor to wash underneath the nails and finally use a hand sanitizer(if available)
A glove to the safety
After everything, you can't be truly 100% protected from germs and bacteria really. So to further limit the amount of them taken to your face, a clean hand gloves is needed. Tissue can also be used to cover the hands(where there's no gloves). This will go a long way not only protecting your skin from bacteria but also keep your nails out from the pimples as this could cause extra pains/irritation.
Clean the skin surface
Just like an operation, it's recommended to clean/sterilize the patients skin and surgical tools before operation starts. In that same vein it is advised to use a menthylated spirit and cotton wool to clean that surface of the skin to further prevent getting bacteria into the skin as doing such will only prolong the recovery process.
Safety when popping pimples with a pin
First and foremost I have to warn you, there are some sensitive areas of the skin you don't want to gamble with a needle example of such is your eyelid please for those type of areas use your hands
Sterilize the pin with heat(fire) using a matchstick and make sure everything but of it touches fire. Proceed to letting it cool, as u don't want to burn your face. Make sure you rub alcohol on the pin too and follow due procedures so you don't contaminate your pin in the process of rubbing alcohol. Using a mirror, hold the pin parallel to your face and only pierce the whitehead as touching the red part could cause more pains and of course scarring. Finally use menthylated spirit to dryclean the pimple area after popping them out.
Bye for now.
