I found this old selfie and instead of focusing on whether it was perfect, I started thinking about how many versions of ourselves we leave behind in photos.
Different hairstyles, different worries, different dreams… and somehow, still the same person underneath.
Studying psychology taught me a lot about change, but life has taught me something even simpler: we don't have to dislike our past selves just because we've grown.
That girl was doing her best with what she knew at the time.
So today I'm keeping the imperfect photo, the crazy light, and the memory that comes with it. ❤️
Growing up doesn't mean erasing who you were. It means appreciating how far you've come.
