Hola amigos!
- HUION H420 (Tabla Grafica)
Hello friends! These days I've been practicing drawing a lot, but the fact of practicing has also led me to finish other works that were incomplete, and also to correct one or another drawing that I didn't like so much at the time of finishing it, maybe because of some details or simply because of the fact that as time goes by we get some flaws in old works.
This time I come to show you a fanart I made to a character from Mobile Legends, one of my favorite mobile games, and this is Masha, a very powerful warrior and not at all fragile, is a character that both its history and its mechanics I like a lot so I wanted to make a little art in her honor.
LINEART
Normally I see Masha in an aggressive pose so I wanted to draw her walking towards the screen, she doesn't need so much pose to look aggressive and strong, also one of the things I like when I play with this character is that the color of her hair gets brighter the more in danger she is, so I wanted to highlight her hair.
After finishing the base of her body, I added the armor and clothes she wears, and as I was drawing her I was correcting her details and giving more depth to the lines. I also started to draw the face and hair so that everything was ready to give her color.
COLOR
After finishing with the basic details of the Lineart I started to color it, the base color palette of Masha is mostly warm colors, so I tried to use those same colors, but with less intensity to complement them with the background and the effects, this was quite a process because at the beginning I found that everything was too bright and I didn't like it, so I had to reduce even more the tones of the colors.
As soon as I had the base colors, I wanted to add some light effects in the clothing and armor to make it look more alive and not so flat, I also corrected a problem with the skin tone more than once and the gold tones of the gauntlets.
SHADOWS AND HIGHLIGHTS
When I finished the coloring, I started to add the shadows and to make the render, at this point I had to decide the background and to distribute the light in a correct way, although it never looks as great as I would like hahaha. I also took the opportunity to make a black and white version of this illustration, which would be more like a gray version, and a full color version with all its shadows.
EFFECTS AND BACKGROUND
To finish, I added the background that I had prepared, which is a sunset, and when I added it I could finish adding the effects of light and brightness that were missing, especially in the armor and the brightness of the hair, which is not short at all. Plus an orange aura that also appears in the game when Masha uses her powers.
This illustration is a more corrected version of one that I had previously and although now I like more how it was, I think that soon when I return to make fanarts of Mobile Legends I will make one with more realism, I really love this character and I would like to make an art that fits her perfectly.
The tools I used in the creation of this illustration were:
- Clip Studio Paint (Drawing Software)
- HUION H420 (Graphic Board)
