Instagram

Instagram is the most valuable photo company in the world, yet the company sells no cameras.

Uber

Uber is the largest taxi company in the world, yet the company owns no vehicles.

Airbnb

Airbnb is one of the largest accommodation providers in the world, yet the company owns no real estate.

Netflix

Netflix is the fastest growing television network in the world, yet the company lays no cables.

Facebook

Facebook is one of the most visited websites in the world, yet the company creates no content by itself.

Steemit

Steemit is the first social media network running on a blockchain, yet the company doesn't even own the content on its website. Unlike other social networks like Facebook, all content is publicly available on a blockchain and can be used by anyone. Any developer can freely use the content on the Steem blockchain and build his own website around it.

All of these companies have the same thing in common: Internet and Information Technology.
None of these companies existed 20 years ago. The world has changed, the rules of business have changed and with widespread internet availability all over the world, an idea is all it takes to re-shape our world. We live in an exciting time. Something interesting is happening...
