I have been watching a few of those Letters Live the past day or two and I realise I have never really written a letter specifically aimed at just informing someone of something.
Sure I have created a ticket and given a detailed description of what I expect to be resolved but one might say I lack the zoosh of maybe something like the below:
Maybe it is because in part I do write a letter of sorts over DM and I pride myself in being quite precisely vague.
In the end, it depends who or for what reason you are writing about but no matter the reason I think any letter can do with some creativity to drive the point home.
I don't foresee myself writing letters anytime soon even for the sake of just writing one but will keep in mind that I do then it would be in my best interest to make it an interesting read.
If anything I might just get a box of crisps out of it if say for example I creatively complain of the latest Doritos Flaming Hot batch.
I think there are people who do that for a living or at least go on the roundabout once before they have now gotten free stuff from everywhere and will hand down the skill to the next generation.
Anyway here are some more good letters including the famous WWII Christmas day story.
I recalled one letter I wrote and it was a motivation letter attached to my CV. Since I tend to not have "professional skills" and do not care to reference previous people all that much whether in good standing or not I decided a letter might cover the gaps.
Even the work agency said that it was pretty good and funny ... But maybe now that I think of it that funny is maybe not the HaHa type of funny.
Can't find it now, so guess I will have to give it a shot at my next job application.
