An aquaduct, I still find it an incredible invention. Even today, it is still quite the task to transport water in an efficient and safe way.
But those Romans didn’t see the problem 2000 years ago. With a little help of gravity and the enormous task of cutting rocks and building a hundreds of kilometers long bridge with just enough incline to take water from the mountains in the Cevennes to the city of Montpellier.
Well, that is creativity and craftsmanship combined with perseverance. I take my hat off for that!
And it still stands!
Sincerely,
