Greetings to all!

Hello to everyone on Steemit!

I’m quite excited having my account up and running. So here’s a little info about me for you to get to know me more.

To begin with…

My name is Ainsley (also known as Pei Xuan) and I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m 32 this year and I’m happy to be counting more for years to come. I’ve been married for 7 years with a stalker since my secondary school and I’m proud to tell everyone that I have 4 beautiful and amazing children in my family.

I’m currently working as a Youth Development Manager/Project Manager in an NGO/NPO called CyberCare Youth Organization (check out www.cybercare.org.my). I’ve worked in this organization for 2 years and this year would be my awesome third year (oh yeah…I’m still loving it especially the little ones that I’ve met… you know who you are…).

I love to…

1. Cook/bake (although I can’t guarantee the food is edible…)
2. Read (temporarily only in English and Bahasa Melayu…)
3. Swim (been dreaming about swimming with my young ones…although the fact is I don’t know how to swim, but I know how to sink. It is a bit confusing for me because when I want to sink, I float; when I want to float, I sink ^.lll)
4. Colour (colouring has always been one of my interest since young…playing with colours is more of a way to express myself…)
5. Sleep (I can sleep until people thought I’m dead… seriously…)
6. Dance (I’m definitely a pro when it comes to “wood” dancing…)
7. Act (Confirmed a pro if I’m a “Rambutan tree”)
8. Sing (when no one is around or when I want to call for rain…)
9. DIY – wood working, sewing, etc. (definitely artsy stuff!! The things I make are “Unique” and only have “One” in the world! Partly because I couldn’t remake another one out ^.lll)
10. Eat (everything that is delicious and not bitter)
11. Listen to music (mostly music from the 90s – contributor: My sister)
12. Play with kids (I’m a kid myself…)

I’m afraid of:

1. Heights (unknown why…)
2. Rats, lizards, snakes, etc. (basically any creepy, crawly things)
3. Ghost (the Chinese red dress type…)
4. Losing anyone around me especially my love ones

Why am I here in Steemit…

Last December was the start of our first pilot program (the “Youth Entrepreneurship Programme”) where we enrolled 19 youth from the under-served community to join us. From coming out with the structure, getting in funding, looking for like-minded people, creating the modules, to executing the program, it took us almost two years to kick-start everything.

Special thanks to @maverickfoo for spending your time with us this week, teaching and sharing with us your valuable knowledge as well as your commitment in this work with the youth. Not everyone would dare to take up such commitment. Setting up Steemit is just part of it, we are all eager to learn more from you. =)

I believe this would be an exciting and adventurous journey for all of us. Making money is one thing, most importantly is that we live our lives with no regrets. Let’s all create this moment together!
