Hello everyone and Happy Monday. Happy is a little stretch as today was my day back to work / the end of vacation...dang, times surely flies when you are having fun. Going back to work is still not bad as I have to respect a schedule, therefore go to bed early and you go back into a routine mode. Something that I got used to after all those years of working.
So, since I work in IT, I did not feel like drawing on the computer today, I wanted to rest my eyes on something else :-)....then again, knowing myself, I will probably start something a little later, I just can't stay away from a screen too long. So, I went for watercolors : I like the soft presentation that it offers, it is relaxing as well (it must be something to do with the water). Actually, I always cover my papers with a lot of water and I keep adding more all the time, this way the colors just blends and they do not come out too vivid. I have to gather more technical experience in the field of watercolors, for now, I am simply enjoying myself, exploring and seeing the results that can be done. Some good, some bad, but always an experience.
I use the Winsor $ Newton waterpaints. I saw videos on youtube and everyone recommended it. I have to say that they are great, I do not think that I can compare them with my older paints as I do not use the same paper, but I do get a feeling that the colors do comes out better. A good paper seems to be the key to get the best results.
