Hello everyone and happy Tuesday, also known as Taco Tuesday :-). For today's drawing, I wanted to practice more on my portraits. Yes, even if i like to draw "funky stuff", to be able to draw portraits with ease if something that I always have been aiming for..I just did not really practice as I disliked my results almost every single time. I did try to use reference pictures, but since my drwaings did not look like the person I was trying to draw, I got discourage. I do no use references pictures today, but I think that I will give it a try again...eventually, as I know it is an important learning step.
This portrait, well it started pretty bad actually, which was a good reason to strt experimenting (I figured how worse can it truly get). So I started experimenting. I did not do any outlines, I duplicated the sketch and started to blend it with the fingertip blending brush. It was messy, so I tried all the different blending brushes that are available to me and just started to play around. The end result is way better than expected, shows that playing around without giving up can be worth it.
