My response to this contest question depends on the standard of the organization, whether they need to keep the information confidential or not. To me, there is a need to strike a balance for many reasons. There should be confidentiality, and it shouldn't depend on the situation of the case.
There are some authorities like the priest in the Catholic Church. For instance, a case like a man who confesses to kidnapping a child and hiding him in a room. The priest who treats sealed confession cannot expose the truth to the public by himself. Instead, he will tell the kidnapper to release the child, and the priest will hand the man over to the police for him to confess his evil deeds to them. And the priest is not in a position to reveal to the public.
One day, I watched a video on how a assissinator went to a pastor's office to shoot him to death as sent and paid by someone in his church. As he entered the pastor's office, the prophecy was told to him, how he shot his girlfriend, and the lady pleaded with him to rush her to the hospital. The lady bled to death, and because of fear, he couldn't save the lady because he would be sued for the abominable act.
However, he entered the pastor's office and the pastor revealed his past with a gun in hand. He slowly dropped the gun down and wept bitterly. The Pastor called the police, and they came and handed him over to them, and this time around, he confessed by himself, and the case was noted and taken. He was free and handed over to the pastor to nurture him, and he mentioned the department he would like to function in the church and he repented of his evil ways.
Some cases need to be revealed and not kept confidential for lives to be saved. And this the doctors, lawyers, and the priest need wisdom on how to handle cases just to protect themselves and the culprit too.
There must be a balance on both sides. In this life, we can't die with all our secrets, every time confidentiality is compromised. Let people say something so that they will be free and delivered. People are hiding and doing ungodly things, let them air it.
