Greetings, everyone!
Stubbornness is what most of us exhibit because of the situation we find ourselves in, and that triggers the stubborn part of us. It happens to everyone, and we exhibit it either publicly or privately, which can lead to the worst situation of our lives.
I can assure you that I am stubborn to the point that if I tell you I will not do that thing, I will not do it. I finished my NYSC, and I was staying in the NCCF family house, after my POP, which is the passing out parade. I decided to stay in Kaduna. For my stay to be firm, I had to start searching for an apartment that would be portable for me and my current price range, since I served a particular amount of money, as God would like it, I found one that was so convenient and to my liking, so I settled for it. I paid for it, and I packed it.
People from my place started scolding me, asking why I rented an apartment without getting a job, that I would have returned home and appreciate my parents before coming back to Kaduna State. Actually, my parents, siblings, and relatives are in Akwa Ibom and I'm here in a strange land where there is nobody related to me.
The decision I took was risky for me as a lady, because at that time, I wasn't doing anything that was bringing money, and I was ready to face life after my NYSC to see if I would survive and God had my back completely without letting me beg for food to eat and venturing into acts or behaviors that weren't pure.
A lot of people told me to return home, and I humbly stood my ground till this very moment, and God has been on my side.
Yes, I was very stubborn by not adhering to people's instructions at that time, and my stubbornness didn't pay off; rather, it exposed me to a new life and experience, not in a hard way.
I don't think I have had experience of being stubborn to the point of getting the worst experience or results.
Normally, I'm very stubborn. Someone came to my DM, and I heard you are staying back there. My mouth is closed in my case, and I will advise you again. 馃ぃ In my mind, I was like I'm not big enough to make decisions of my own? In my mind, I'm staying back here, whether you advise me or not; I'm here as long as God says I should stay back here.
This is my story.
