Today is going to be so much fun; I have the whole house to myself, no disturbance whatsoever. I have been anticipating the day I am going to be left alone at home. My friends have told me stories about the fun of staying home alone and I have always wanted to have that same experience. Before I continue, my name is Sydney. Mom and Dad went on a business trip, and my older sister who was supposed to be at home with me said she was going to her friend's place. She asked me to tag along, but I told her I'd rather stay at home, so she left me. I was so happy when the house was empty and I was the only one at home. I already had a list of things I wanted to do that day, so as soon as my sister left, I locked the door and went to have my bath. I brought out the movies I planned to watch, went to the kitchen, made some popcorn, and took a drink from the fridge. I closed all the windows, sat down with my popcorn and drink, and started watching my movie.
Some of the movie was interesting, some was emotional and some i couldn't help but laugh when watching them. A call from my friend came in
The friend: Hey baby girl, what's up
Me: I'm fine, am at home, having my home alone cruise
The friend: oh really, so you are home alone right now, well do you mind if i join you later
Me: well i can't say for now, i want to enjoy my home alone please, i will let you know when i need you
The friend: okay oo no problem enjoy, bye
Me: yeah, bye
Just as the call dropped, I continued watching the movie I was watching. I was on the third movie when I heard a sound. At first, I decided not to pay attention to it, so I increased the volume of the television. It was as if the moment I increased the volume was when the sound became loud, like someone was walking from the kitchen to the room. I was thinking of what it could be because I knew if my sister was back she would have called me. I picked up my phone, dialed my sister's number, she picked on the third ring, i asked her where she was, and she said she was still at her friend's place. It was at this point that I knew something was wrong. I became scared, but I didn't let it show. So I just hung up, turned down the television, but I was still hearing the sound so I decided to go and find out what it is. Luckily, my dad's golf stick was close to where I was, so I picked it up and went to where the footstep sound was coming from, only to get there and see that it was just a rat scattering the dirt I had left in the kitchen. I just laughed at myself as I picked up all the dirt and went to dispose of it.
But I couldn't stay alone again, so I called my friend and asked if she could come over.
