We did a lot of work to get PeakMonsters Visions of Verico.
Some of this post references things we did several weeks ago and some things that were released today.
This one touched a lot more than adding another edition button. Verico cards needed to work in the market, rentals, filters, card displays, land management and our newer land tools. While doing that we also upgraded the Pack Stats page so it can understand packs that work very differently from each other.
We did not want Verico to work on one special page and then feel missing everywhere else.
You can now find Verico cards in the normal PeakMonsters card tools. Their card images, edition, foils, levels, PP and market details are handled anywhere those cards need to show up.
This includes:
There are a lot of unusual things about Verico compared to older editions. They are all Common cards, they have their own ability progressions and the cards can be worth very different amounts depending on level and foil. So we had to make sure we were not accidentally forcing old card assumptions onto the new set.
The Pack Stats page now supports both Escalation and Visions of Verico in addition to all the editions that were already there.
Verico packs contain 20 Common land cards. There are no normal rarity odds or potion calculations to pretend are relevant, so the page changes to the simpler version of the math.
You can compare the effective pack value using current BCX prices or recent market prices and switch between 1, 100 and 1,000 packs.
Escalation uses the newer five-card pack system with Regular, Gold and Black foils. The page shows the drop rates, card values and what each potion is statistically adding to the pack.
We also corrected the Legendary Potion math for the Conclave-era packs so the Epic and Legendary odds are handled correctly.
Pack values move with the market, so this is not meant to promise what you will open. It is meant to make the odds and the current market math easier to see before you make a decision.
We have also been building a separate Land Stats workspace on beta.peakmonsters.com.
We are not putting this into the main PeakMonsters website yet. It is a sandbox where we can be more playful, test ideas and explore what would actually help land players before deciding what deserves to become a permanent tool.
Right now it has sections for:
The reference includes all 54 Verico land cards along with the original Land cards. You can filter by set, element and ability and compare bloodlines, max abilities, PP, current low prices and estimated max-level costs.
It also includes a quick Verico pack reference so the pack supply and market can be seen beside the cards.
The Single Plot Planner lets you build a pretend plot and swap in a Verico land card without changing anything on the blockchain.
You can adjust the PP, terrain match, resource, totem, title, RUNI and plot rarity. Then choose a specific Verico card and level to compare production, upkeep, value and the cost of the setup.
The land sandbox is where we want to get a bit more playful. We expect this section to change a lot.
If you are using spreadsheets or doing some land calculation by hand, tell us what it is. If one of these numbers is not clear, tell us what would make it easier. If there is a comparison, filter or simulator that would save you time, we want to hear that too.
Tell us things like:
You can try everything on beta.peakmonsters.com and send feedback in the PeakMonsters Discord.
There is a lot we can explore with Land and we would rather build it with the people actually using it.
