PeakD and Peak Open Projects Proposal

Dear Hive community,

Over the past 8 years, our team has consistently worked to deliver the best possible user experience to our users and the Hive community. Over the years we expanded our work to include open source projects on top of what we do for PeakD.com.

Last year we tried to break down our work into 2 separate proposals, this method of proposals didn't have as much support as we hoped for. This year we decided to go back to one singular and yet even more grand proposal with a broader scope even including our recurrent work to keep PeakD up to date with the Hive blockchain development and to provide a top notch user experience to Hive users.

Proposal Breakdown

1. New Projects

Individual User Stats The individual user stats being added to the Hive Open Stats project. This has been planned for a while but in terms of the stats project it will have the highest complexity and cost compared to Blockchain stats, Community Stats and Badge stats which we have already done.

A new customizable UI/Blog system for Hive While some of the other special projects for this year are more obvious this one deserves a bit more attention.

Think of a PeakD.com style interface however for the individual user they will be able to customize the look and many many aspects of the experience so they can have a place for their content and their viewers to come that really fits them. A place they can really call home for them and their viewers and friends or family.

We believe there is very much a place for Hive interfaces like PeakD.com and Ecency.com and Hive.blog where there is a bit more of an entire Hive community feel. However there needs to be other places where you can bring your own people and have it be a place for just you and them and powered by the impressive technology of Hive.

We also believe that it brings great value to Hive as they create great content that will ALSO be available on all those other interfaces.

With this new project they will be able to bring their own URL and Setup should be easy and cheap. We will provide an option to host these sites for users as well. We look forward to a day that this could be so popular that there will be many teams doing the same thing because Hive is so popular and this use case is so popular.

This will be OPEN SOURCE and while this may have similarities to the popular PeakD.com interface this will be a brand new project and codebase. We will take a lot of what we learned has worked from projects like PeakD.com also our knowledge of our work there will make this much easier to accomplish while still doing all the other things we identified we will still keep doing.

A more robust and Hive based system for ads More details about this will be shared later on in a dedicated post. One important element is that it should work for all Hive dApps and websites.

2. PeakD Upgrades and Maintenance

We have improved and upgraded PeakD for many years and we plan to keep doing so in the future. With the help of this proposal we can spend even more time integrating external community driven open source projects. Testing and leveraging and this effort helps make our and other groups projects shine.

Examples: Recently we have been the first frontend to integrate a VSC wallet page and we are leveraging HAF and HafSQL to provide new custom features on top of what is usually available via Hive standard API nodes. 3. Open Source Projects

HiveHub.dev and Block Explorer A comprehensive block explorer for the Hive ecosystem, covering transactions, governance, the internal market, and integrated webapps.
Open Polls Protocol A decentralized system for creating and managing polls on Hive, enabling verifiable and transparent voting with public results.
Hive Node Beacon A directory of active Hive blockchain nodes, offering real-time node health and connection status for Hive and Hive Engine. Recently integrated with VSC nodes.
Hive Open Stats Aggregates and displays statistics for the Hive chain, communities, and badges.
Hive Badges A system for awarding automatically Hive badges to celebrate miletones or achievements. Badges are showcased on user profiles via PeakD.
Open Genie A decentralized and open source platform where users can request services, and the community collaborates to fulfill those wishes.
Token Routes A protocol that finds the best routing for Hive and non-Hive tokens across the ecosystem.
Notification System Delivers real-time notifications for Hive events. Integrated with Hive Keychain to alert users to comments, votes, transfers, and more.
Tips Tracker Monitors and displays tipping activity throughout the Hive network.
Sting Chat A decentralized chat app for Hive. Supports encrypted private messaging and community channels.

Note: notably the PeakVault Wallet project is not listed above. Considering the lack of support in last year proposal we are winding down our effort to upkeep and improve it. However it was released and does presently function as a viable secondary wallet option for Hive web/dApps.

3. Infrastructure Costs

Cover server and database expenses.
Ensure high availability and performance of all projects.

4. Team Costs

Support a dedicated team of 4-5 contributors working flexible hours on various projects.
Provide compensation for maintenance, upgrades, and new small projects.
Focus efforts on promoting all projects, including integration into other Hive apps/websites.

Overall funding

We suspect we will get more done than any previous year and we still will have a smaller budget than 2023-2024 We are also much more experienced and capable of building better projects than ever.

We are asking for 635HBD/Day.

Again this work towards maintaining previous projects, upgrading them as well... then adding in several very cool new projects. If you believe this to be a solid value for Hive we ask for your vote.
