For the past several years, PeakD has worked to provide one of the most complete user experiences on Hive while also supporting open source tools and infrastructure used across the ecosystem.
This new DHF proposal has a much narrower and more focused scope than our previous one.

This proposal is not an expansion proposal. It is a sustainability proposal to keep PeakD, its core services, and as many Peak Open projects as possible moving forward during a difficult market period.
Our previous proposal originally requested 635 HBD/day but we lowered it down to 490 HBD/day back in February.
For this proposal, we are requesting 150 HBD/day.
That is a reduction of more than 75% from the previous funding level.
The goal is simple: keep the project alive, keep the essential work moving, reduce costs, and reduce the allocated development time from the team while still doing our best to support the Hive ecosystem.
With this reduced budget, our focus will be on the most important work:
We will prioritize stability, infrastructure, reliability, and compatibility first. When decisions need to be made, we will focus on the work that has the most direct value for the Hive community.
Even with this significant budget reduction, we do not want this proposal to be only about standing still.
AI coding agents are making it possible for small teams to remain productive in ways that were not realistic before. Because of that, we expect to continue shipping some new features and improvements, even while reducing the total funding and allocated team time.
To get an idea of what a small team can accomplish nowadays you can have a look at what we delivered in the past few months checking out the changelog page: https://peakd.com/about/changelog
That said, the scope will be more selective. We will focus on improvements that are realistic, high-impact, and maintainable under the reduced budget.
This proposal supports the core PeakD effort led by and
.
The funding will help cover reduced allocated development time, project coordination, maintenance, and the essential costs required to keep PeakD and related open source projects operating.
We publish our updates on the Hive blockchain through our personal and project accounts ( and
).
As always, our work, progress, and decisions will remain visible to the community.
Even without funding, we will try to keep going for as long as possible.
PeakD has been part of Hive for many years, and we care deeply about the ecosystem. But the level of work we can sustain depends on available resources. This proposal is designed to be realistic: smaller, more focused, and aligned with current market conditions.
