Hey, what's up, players! Today I am very pleased to be here once again in another gameplay for the 3Speak channel of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. And as I cannot let it slip by unmentioned, I welcome you to the channel and hope you enjoy the gameplay as much as I do. By the way, it is worth reminding you that this is already gameplay number 22 😮 . Well, today is an important gameplay for the development of this series since, just as the title describes, during this gameplay we managed to defeat the great and annoying Boss known as Moldorm in order to finally obtain the third and last remaining pendant of the 3 pendants that the ancient wizard Sahasrahla had tasked us to find, which is officially known as the Pendant of Wisdom. After this we set off towards Sahasrahla's temple once again to inform him about the success in the search for the 3 pendants, and in addition to this we also go with the intention of obtaining another possible reward : )
On the Importance of not Leaving any Puzzle Unsolved. At the beginning of this gameplay you can observe how I have to backtrack to the fourth floor of the dungeon to resolve a small puzzle that later on, more specifically on the fifth floor of the level just before accessing the sixth floor which serves as Moldorm's lair, manages to unlock for us a large number of jars containing very useful life hearts. Just as you can see during the development of the gameplay, these turned out to be of enormous help to us since Moldorm has a great capacity to deal damage to us with every blow he manages to land on us. But luckily we have been developing our stamina very well, or as occurs in this Zelda video game, we have managed to accumulate a large number of hearts in our health bar, which despite the difficulties of the moment, grants us quite a lot of resistance.
Moldorm, The Guardian. What can we say about this enormous and powerful creature? Well that it is nothing short of a giant pain in the A"··"$$! Ha ha, and the truth is that an edit had to be made to the video due to the large number of times we fell at the hands of this enormous creature, which just when we almost had it defeated, would manage to land a blow that pushed us back down to the previous floor. It is worth highlighting here the importance of what was previously mentioned regarding the puzzle, as we managed to recover on several occasions thanks to the health hearts we managed to unlock. The strategy to defeat Moldorm is as follows: You simply have to use the 'clinch' or rather, fight at close range, since if we give this enormous worm any space it will strike us with great ease, leaving us out of combat either because our heart bar (health) ran out or because the force of its blows threw us down to the previous floor, having to make our way back up and start the battle from scratch.
The Pendant of Wisdom. After defeating Moldorm, it will reward us with a full health heart which will be added directly to our health bar, and will furthermore grant us the long-awaited Pendant of Wisdom, as we can see at around minute 03:30 of the gameplay. Upon receiving the Pendant of Wisdom the game treats us to a beautiful melody before then transporting us directly to the temple door, from where we set off towards Sahasrahla's temple with the intention of obtaining more information about the lore of this last pendant. We also realize that thanks to the Moon Pearl, when we are in the dimension known as the 'Dark World' we no longer change form as happened before when we used to transform into a sort of Easter bunny : D
I am truly enormously grateful to all those who made it to this point and to those who appreciated the gameplay. Your support is always something very important to me, friends 🔶✨ Cheers!
