I really liked your honesty in accepting that video game programming wasn't your thing, and honestly I got a good laugh out of that part about not getting past "hello world" xD
And regarding 3Dsage, I really see a very promising future for developers, both in a sense of adaptation and consumption of this product to consumers of retro games, as well as I see it very possible that they can go solving those shortcomings you mention as the inability to populate the maps that are being created, if they already reached this point, I really believe that if they can solve that.
