This is the last book in the Hannibal Lecter series by Thomas Harris, and also my last review on them. Hannibal Rising is a prequel to all of the other books and has to do with Hannibal's childhood.
I was not looking forward to this book, because of how terrible the movie was.
I was scared the book would have the same terrible story line, but Thomas Harris pulled through. He stayed true to the roots of Hannibal and kept it a psychological thriller.
The fact that the movie went over into the 'horror' genre is what killed it for me.
I should have known Harris would not make such a mistake.
