I have only ever owned one type of cycling computer and that is the Garmin Edge 500. So after almost two years here is my review! I wanted to talk about three main points, namely: battery life, interface and how it compares to similar models of other brands such as Wahoo and Bryton.

As you can see my Garmin device has been pretty well used. It even has a massive crack in the screen, which I had to put a cover over.
Despite this it has never gotten water damage (not that I ride a lot in the rain, but still).

I define a beginner bicycle computer as one which has the basic functions of: Time, speed, distance and power… oh and of course syncing to Strava!
