Responses To Some Articles And Arguments Regarding The Late Dancehall Diva.

I tried as much as possible not to express words about the death of the Ghana's dancehall diva, Ebony but felt the pain and decided to retract my decision when some colleagues and other articles in the news papers expressed their sentiments and awful words about this late singer.

From some articles we all read on ghanaweb, for details click and here, made colleagues raised some arguments about her. But I believed they were rather unfortunate and unfounded arguments and needed throwback, both to colleagues and article contents and to all others within their category.

Unfounded Arguments From Colleagues And Other Sources
Ebony was recalcitrant because prophets raised concerns about her accident and warned her several times. Some prophesied that she had a short life and needed to turn to God so that she could extend her days on Earth. Some were like, it would be better you started going to church and revert from secular music to Gospel. Upon all this, their words went into one ear and out of the other. Why would she not die?

Again, she was aware of her death. She knew she was going to die and was highly ready for it. In the article, a sister to this late diva, Happy narrated a dream she had about Ebony and summarised by "it was possible Ebony knew her time earth was up, because of the unusual way she planned her last trip". To my colleagues, she was ever ready to meet this untimely death, and no need to worry or be in pain. Why worry when she could have stopped her trip based on her sister's dream or better still protect herself by taking flight as usual.

My Submissions To These Arguments
Prophecies we should not deny and I do not disagree. To say she was recalcitrant is unfounded statement and you can never prove it. But I am sure that Ebony had acted positively in response to the prophecies that came. She did not play dead sheep to them because she as every other individual loves life. And she would not sit down just like that without doing anything about it.

To talk of prophets and their prophecies, what is the sense of rushing to the social media only to inform the general public what they prophesied earlier before its happening? Is it for fame? Or trying to paint the victim black before the world? Such ways of these so called prophets are uncalled for, they are redundant and never the ways of the Loving God. Their ways do not show love or bear a sign of love. Because if they care about the victim and never doing things for their own parasitic interest, their words should be seasoned with love and sympathy. Releasing to the public immediately is of no use. The question is why are they always giving prophecies and never providing solutions to them? Damn!
Clearly, I must say these are not prophecies. It is very common and basic to know that daily or yearly people including public figures would die. These must be buried.

To the case of going to church, going to church and playing gospel alone could not save her. It is not written anywhere that when one goes to church he or she is saved or all gospel musicians are saved. For salvation is a gift and it is for ALL those who believe in Christ Jesus and not for those who go to church or play the so called gospel. The fact that she did not go to church or/and sing the so called secular music did not guarantee her death because gospel artistes die as well as those who go to church. Is it not written that Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no one goes to the Father except through Him? So when did church became the bridge to God? Is it not also written that Grace abounds much where there is sin and the Lord doesn't take delight in the death of a sinner? If you claim she was a sinner, why then do you still raise such arguments? My interest to tell you God is NOT a serial killer.

Having said the above, the article said her sister, Happy had a dream and never stated that she told Ebony what she dreamt. She used dream, possible and unusual which did not mean she was certain about her death. Be that as it may for the unusual route she took, she also had a soldier man to grant her protection. What was the results? They all died because he could not protect himself and the rest, too from the accident. Are you now going to say Ebony was wicked to the military man, her friend but generous to her driver who survived? There is no sense in this, till we appreciate for the fact that she was not conscious of what happened before its happening but was something may be beyond the physical and STOP blaming a dead body.

It is high time Ghanaians stopped criticizing people without evidence and focused on what is necessary. I am asking ALL THOSE who said and still saying that Ebony died because she was a sinner, a bad girl or recalcitrant among others, to mention one, yes just one, sin she committed and for that reason she died. Obviously, they have none. You are not living because you are better than her. However, for it is GRACE, period.
