‎When Samuel's mother sent him to school, he continued schooling right from the beginning of his school to when he wrote his WAEC examination. From that year, he finished his WAEC examination. Samuel started applying for schools, that is, universities. He wrote the JAMB examination while waiting for admission, and Samuel didn't get the admission. After that, his mother suggested that he should learn a handwork where he had a passion for, fashion designing.

‎So he went for it. When Samuel started learning tailoring, he made an agreement with his boss that he was going to learn for two years. After that, the first year, he spent one month at the shop, and so his boss asked him to attach a button to a cloth. Unfortunately, Samuel made a small mistake, and his boss started quarreling with him, saying that by now, he was supposed to start doing things more than that. At that point, Samuel felt discouraged. He thought this fashion designing thing wasn't his calling, and that mindset began to invade his thoughts.

‎Somewhere, he even started thinking of quitting. He told his mother, and she said to him, "Mistakes are part of learning." So he shouldn't be discouraged.

‎His boss didn't know that Samuel was actually a fast learner. After two months, the shop was so crowded with many apprentices. So his boss didn't pay more attention to him. But Samuel also learned from other apprentices and from his boss. His boss didn't notice when he was practicing because there were a lot of apprentices at the workplace.

‎After two months, Samuel already knew how to sew a trouser, but his boss wasn't aware of that. After Samuel sewed a trouser, his boss asked, "Was he the one who sewed this?" And Samuel said yes. His boss was amazed. That was when his boss started putting more attention on him and developing him more. When Samuel reached one year at the shop, he had an idea of how to sew. After that, Samuel still applied for his exam in the second year.

‎Samuel couldn't have the opportunity to focus on his workplace because he was anticipating admission. He spent time reading his books for his coming exam and didn't have the opportunity to come to the shop. Throughout the second year, Samuel was not constant in the shop because he just wanted to go to school. And then, still in the second year, Samuel didn't get admission. Samuel was so worried. And then, when he applied again in the third year, by that time, Samuel was almost a professional at his tailoring work. So luckily, Samuel got admission that third year, and his boss advised him that in his free time at school, he should also try to update himself with some work if he had some. This is how Samuel went to school.

‎During his university, he also practiced some designs in his free period. Samuel spent four years studying at the university. Before he graduated, he started thinking of what to do after graduation because there was a scarcity of work. Fortunately, Samuel's mother had saved some funds for him to open his fashion house. After he graduated from school, she surprised him by opening a fashion house for him. Samuel was so amazed and overwhelmed with happiness.

‎This is how Samuel used his skills to develop himself and become a great fashion designer.
