This weekend I dedicated to recovering a sewing machine with the old pedal.

It is an original ELGIN machine and I was very pleased to disassemble, clean with kerosene and lubricate all parts and then paint.

I bought some parts that were rusty and after being assembled it was only missing the stickers with the ELGIN brand, which in the meantime already had ordered to make. I included a motor as optional.

The feet with the pedal were well rusted too, and I spent Sunday using my drill with a wire disk so I could pick it up to apply and paint.

This machine after the completed recovery work will sell for 7 times the amount I paid for it.

Meu hobby

Este fim de semana dediquei a recuperar uma máquina de costura das antigas a pedal.

É uma máquina ELGIN original e me deu muito prazer desmontar, limpar com querosene e lubrificar todas as peças para depois pintar.

Comprei algumas peças que se encontravam enferrujadas e depois de montada so ficou a faltar os adesivos com a marca ELGIN, que entretanto já mandei fazer. Eu inclui o motor como opção.

Os pés com o pedal tambem estavam bem enferrujados e passei o Domingo usando a minha furadeira com um disco de arame para poder decapar preparando para aplicar aparelho e pintar.

Esta máquina depois do trabalho de recuperação completado vai dar para vender por 7 vezes o valor que paguei por ela.
