People in my community have a say 'the way to the mouth is the way to heaven' In other words, if the way to the mouth is not open, death is imminent.
Man must 'wack' is the pidgin slogan of some tough men in our society today. The language became prominent as the economic situation is getting tougher and tougher in many nations of the world. The men with such slogan are men that care, men of independence, non-emotional, men that are aggressive, tough skinned, rugged, competitive, strong, active, self confident, committed and hard. They are men who hold the idea that they must work to feed themselves and their family not minding the the kind of work as long as it is not stealing. The absence of such men spell the decay of the society. They are unlike the beggarly men who go about asking for help from people to be able to feed themselves and their families.

The characteristics of such men

Below are some of the characteristics of such men which are reflected through their attitudes or general outlook to life.

Caring less about the category of jobs

Some jobs are termed as corporate, while we also have jobs termed as labour or odd jobs.
In my ethnic environment, there is a saying that 'there is no dirty money, we only have dirty jobs'
Men that say 'Man must wack' are men that care less about dirtiness of any job as long as money comes out of it. They travel to anywhere they can find job that will fetch them money.

Taking jobs which are below status

Some men cannot attempt to take up some jobs, no matter the amount that will be paid, simply because it belittles them, judging by their social or academic status, they prefer sitting down, watching, waiting, suffering and going hungry rather than taking up such jobs. But the people that say 'man must wack' usually drop status or academic attainment to take up any available job as long as it will fetch them some money to take care of their immediate needs. To them, there is no pride of academic attainment. They put certificate aside and do whatever will fetch them money. They are not so desperate about white collar jobs that are not available.
