This week's theme for @qurator's Photo Quest is... happiness! A lot of the nature and wildlife photos that I take give me that happiness feeling, but they don't mirror it that much to the beholder. And then, I remembered this one.
This train does a very popular route in Sri Lanka for tourists, making the journey from Ella to Kandy, two places that are well worth the visit. The reason why it's so popular is probably the amazing view: luxurious green and tea plantations almost everytime you look out the window.
And as you can see... everyone is happily taking photos and having fun! This went on for almost all the trip! I'm actually surprised no one fell off the train! 馃槅
It actually reminded me all the times I rode the train on my childhood here in Portugal, from where I live to my grandparents small village; the nature, the train construction, the slow speed, it was kind of a trip to the memory lane as well.
Definitely train is one of my favourite transports. And in this case, the magnificent views are the cherry on top.
Revisiting all these travel photos just makes me want to travel even more; hoping to travel double in 2021!
