Aprecio tu visita a mi blog y tu lectura.
Invito a @gsbilbao y a
@belkyscabrera a unirse a esta iniciativa.

Greetings and hugs to all !
I join@charjaim's initiative, who once again invites us to write about our life experiences, this time to recall moments that may seem simple but have great meaning and influence on us. This is a very sublime exercise and even a little difficult for me because while I was reading the post where she invited us, our friend was already recalling more than one memory of special moments. But after organizing my thoughts a bit, I have chosen one or two simple but beautiful moments that marked my life, and I am ready to share them.
When I hear a radio station, I am instantly filled with nostalgia for my mother in my childhood home in Venezuela. Right now, I close my eyes. I pause and continue... I remember how at 5 a.m. the radio was already on, tuned to Radio Apolo, the station for those who feel the time. I think only Venezuelans from Aragua will understand me.

I continue with my recollection. My mom would prepare my breakfast in the kitchen for me to take to school, which was often a simple milk roll filled with butter (my favorite) or a ham and cheese sandwich, or a cheese empanada, which was also one of my favorites. My thermos was ready with coffee and milk, or Toddy, or strawberry Nesquik, or orange juice, and a piece of fruit, which could be a red apple, pear, orange, or a juicy red plum. How wonderful it is to remember my mother lovingly preparing my lunchbox with the sound of the radio in the background.

While I was getting ready to wait for the school bus, that selfless woman would turn on the radio early every morning and in the afternoons too, even at night and in the early hours when she had to get work done. My mom was always a radio lover, listening to the time, the news, music, and radio soap operas, so I can't overlook Radio Rumbos. I remember the adventures of Mart铆n Valiente and that other unforgettable program, Nuestro Ins贸lito Universo.
My reminiscence is not over yet, because that childhood memory is deeply rooted in my mind, accompanied by the sound of vallenatos, especially those by Binomio de Oro, a Colombian group that my mother loved to listen to on her radio. The radio definitely helped her stay active, and since she is a dancer, she would stop what she was doing around the house and energetically dance a few steps before continuing with her chores. My mother is a great example of dynamism; she is like a superwoman with superpowers, never showing exhaustion, but as an adult, I understood that she did get tired, she just didn't show it.

Today, at 76 years old, my mother still listens to and enjoys the radio, although she doesn't listen to the same programs or stations anymore. She is content with the stations that her radio can pick up, especially those that play llanera music. As a good Guarique帽a, she also loves to dance a lively joropo, although her dancing is slow because her movements are now limited after her femur fracture.
My mom is so beautiful, with her joy in good times and bad. She is a brave woman, like few others, who seems to have broken the mold when she was born. She is undoubtedly my hero, my best example of a woman and a mother.
A hug!
