So about an hour ago, someone asked me
Gbenga, what are your resolutions for this year?
Now that's a question lots of people keep asking and one everybody should honestly answer, if not to others, then to one's self.
So I sat her down and gave her my list, which was actually a really short one.
First and foremost, I plan on living a life more pleasing to God, letting go of things which had drawn me away from him
Next on my list, I am going to deal with my books and ensure that by the time this year runs out, my grades will be top-notch.
Third, I'll go out more, make new friends and consolidate my relationship with others. Right now, I'm not a people person, I tend to play the Lone Wolf part but that's gonna change.
This one actually got her laughing. I told her by this time next year, I'll have made my first million Naira. Yes I know, here in Nigeria money is not easy to come by, but who said I was going to make it in naija. That's why I've got Steemit.
The last one had her hugging me馃槀馃槀馃槀.
I said I was going to make sure my mom had a business up and running come year's ending.
I am going to make sure my siblings don't have to keep staying at home instead of being in school, all because there is no money. I'm going to be that agent of change in the family.
I can still feel the warmth of that embrace, and trust me, my heart has been skipping ever since馃槈
So that's it fellas, my list of resolutions for this brand new year.
